Meet Fred Haun

Founder of DeckCreator

The joy of building and being outdoors welled up in me from my earliest days as I worked with my dad around the house, out in the yard, and tagging along to work with him.

This childhood passion led me on the path to carpentry school, and to working with construction companies of which included window replacement, roofing, kitchen, bathrooms and basements. To turn a pile of material in to a finished product was hard work, but the most rewarding and fulfilling work as well.

But to me those companies only changed, or updated something that already existed. I wanted to start with only an idea and to make that dream a reality. With all that knowledge, and gained experience, I took a leap of faith in January 2001 and created DeckCreator. This venture would combine my passion for building, the outdoors, and creating a finished project; all while leaving a customer with a quality outdoor living structure that they would be able to use and enjoy for years and years to come.

Looking back at what I started with only a dream and an old mini-van, to where we are today as an established company with an indoor showroom and multiple crews, I am grateful for the all the projects we have completed, all the happy customers we have met, and for all that is yet still to come.


